Global food and beverage giant PepsiCo will hire 500 people in India this year to meet its manpower requirement for maintaining its annual growth rate of over 30 per cent in 2010. The number of direct employees would then be 5500. The hiring is aimed at meeting HR requirements to sustain the growth achieved in 2009.

Global food and beverage giant PepsiCo will hire 500 people in India this year to meet its manpower requirement for maintaining its annual growth rate of over 30 per cent in 2010. The number of direct employees would then be 5500. The hiring is aimed at meeting HR requirements to sustain the growth achieved in 2009.

PepsiCo India, which completes 20 years in 2010, provides direct employment to 5000 and indirect employment to more than 1,50,000 people. PepsiCo's Global Chief Indra Nooyi is also of Indian origin.
