SBI Capital Markets appoints Rajnish Kumar MD and CEO
Investment bank SBI Capital Markets has appointed Rajnish Kumar as its Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer with effect from today. Kumar has replaced V G Kannan who was elevated as the investment banks' Managing Director and Group Executive (associates and subsidiaries) of the State Bank of India, earlier this month, the company said in a release issued here today. Prior to this, Kumar was the Chief General Manager (project finance and leasing SBU) at the SBI. Kumar joined SBI as a probationary officer in 1980 and held several key assignments across various business verticals, including two overseas assignments in Canada as well as the United Kingdom.
