Rise in commute among unskilled workers

The National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) released an analysis stating that the number of unskilled workers commuting between rural and urban areas for work has seen explosive growth in the last 20 years. NSSO data confirms that commuting long distance to work from rural areas is more economically viable for workers in most parts of the country compared to staying closer to the workplace in urban areas.
