Unlike earlier HR now needs a great understanding of technology and its impact apart from having a love for people. Along with the human aspect, HR needs to be analytical and be more proactive rather than being reactive. The skill-sets required in the HR profession have evolved such that now, HR needs to understand business metrics and relate them to the HR metrics to take meaningful decisions.
