Xiaomi India appoints ex Myntra head as the new COO

Before joining Xiaomi, he was working with Myntra as Senior Vice President. He had a small stint with Myntra and worked with the fashion company for five months.

Mobile phone brand, Xiaomi India is in the news for every good reason. Recently the Chinese phone maker shifted to a new office, raised IPO in Hong Kong stock market, gave the Global CEO Lei Jun a bonus of $1.5 billion and now the company has got Muralikrishnan B as the new Chief Operating Officer on board. 

Xiaomi’s Global Vice President and Managing Director India took microblogging site Twitter to announce this news. 

He tweeted, “Super thrilled that Muralikrishnan B @hawkeye is joining @XiaomiIndia as our India COO. Muralikrishnan was the India Head of http://eBay.in  & later on became the COO of Jabong - the company that I co-founded many years ago. Please join me welcoming him to #Xiaomi!.” 

Muralikrishnan B has worked with companies such as eBay, Jabong and India Property. He is a Consumer Internet & eCommerce expert with a flair for Strategy, Operations & Product Management. An Engineer and an Alumnus of IIM-Calcutta, Murali has 20+ years of cross-functional experience across FMCG and Consumer Internet / eCommerce domains

Prior to joining to Xiaomi, he was working with Myntra as Senior Vice President. He had a small stint with Myntra and worked with the fashion company for five months. 

Before that, he was working with Jabong as the COO, where he worked for almost two years. In Jabong, he was responsible for a 400+ member team comprising Technology, Product Management, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, Analytics & HR and Digital marketing.  He has also worked with e-commerce site eBay for eight years.

He will be based out of Bangalore.
