The 6th Edition of People Matters Are You In The List 2017 saw over 2500+ participants, and on the Gala Night, 11 of them were crowned the future 'Emerging HR Leaders'. Here's a glimpse of the winners.

The Glory, the appreciation, the applause – were soaked in with great excitement by each of the 11 winners at the People Matters Are You In The List Awards 2017.

This year, women outshone men in clinching the crowns. Out of 11, 9 winners are women who are driving inspirations to many working professionals out there.

Here’s a look at all our Winners from this year: (In Alphabetical Order)

Anurag Shrivastava | Manager – Business HR (Commercial) | Vodafone

He has donned multiple hats in his last 3.5 years with a telecom company – right from recruitment, sales HR, Performance & Rewards. Joined as a management trainee in 2014, today he is responsible as HR Business Partner for Commercial, where he helps deliver on a Digital Savvy, agile and future fit organization in close partnering with the business objectives. ‘One solution fits all’ for Talent management and performance management is what he wants to change.

Chandni Narang | Manager – Org Design & Effectiveness | Flipkart

A B. Com graduate from Pune University and an MBA - HR 'by choice' from SCMHRD, Pune. Currently, she is a part of an e-commerce company as an OD professional leading all interventions that enhance overall organizational effectiveness and health. Elected as “Ms Presence” in her MBA batch, she is someone who can make a difference with her presence.

Divya Amarnath | Head – HR Services Delivery, India | Hindustan Unilever Ltd

She can handle large, complex roles by being able to get out of her comfort zone, knows when to reset herself, learns new skills and is open to challenges. In her current role, she is responsible for smooth end-to-end delivery of HR processes of recruitment, performance management, compensation, payroll, exit management and lifecycle processes for 7500+ white collared employees and 11000+ blue collared employees across India.

Harshil Sethi | Manager HR – International Business Unit | Asian Paints

He believes that HR is a forerunner in bringing about changes in organizations. One of HR’s key value addition is the ability to understand how any change, whether big or small, impacts people and processes. He “fell in love with HR” at the time of his MDI days, and realized he wants to spend his professional life with it.

Kamiya Choithani | Sr. Manager – HR | Myntra

She describes her current stint as a ‘thrilling ride”. An MBA from XLRI and a B. Tech (IT) from Indraprastha University, Delhi, in her current role she has had the opportunity to directly shape and influence the people strategy for Technology and Product teams while also building basic programs from scratch. “As HR evolves with the influence of technology, I would retain the empathy and high emotional intelligence,” she believes.

Madhushree Mehta | AGM – OE & Change Management | Vodafone India Limited

She believes that for leaders to be successful in their roles, it is pertinent to have three key qualities which are  - intent, intellect and integrity.  To her, retaining the ‘H’ in Human Resources differentiates a high-performing HR team from the rest. In her own words, “Building empathy not only helps in bringing alive the power of shared emotions but also helps HR to understand the customers better, builds trust in business interactions and promotes collaboration.”

Natasha Boparai | HR Business Partner – GBS, IT, Global Functions | Boston Scientific Corporation

Laugh, gesture, empathy, entertain & passionate – these 5 words make the core of her daily existence. As an HR professional, her constant endeavour is to build situational leaders for organizational success. With more than 8 years of work ex, she believes HR professionals need to become true HR business partners and have the chair on the strategy table as other CXOs.

She has 14 years of HR experience in diverse sectors like Manufacturing, Information Technology, IT Enabled Services and Consulting. She believes that as an HR professional you need Integrity, Energy and Courage to lead. And one thing that she would change in HR is the mindset of underestimating the function and being conventional.

Saswati Subhasmita | Assistant Manager | Bosch

Her flair to understand business, strong data orientation, and her knack to question the conventional are what set her apart. An engineer armed with an MBA in HR, she is now responsible for creation and execution of People Strategy for Gasoline Systems, 2-Wheeler Business in India, and also in a newly-formed Bosch entity in Bangladesh. She would like to retain the element of ‘empathy’ in HR.

Sneha Arora | Senior HRBP Consultant | SAP

Her current role at SAP Labs involves HR leadership for SAP Ariba Technologies India with 800+ employee strength. She is responsible for people strategy and work closely with Ariba India leadership in design and execution of people related deliverables. She is passionate about the topic of Diversity and Inclusion and currently support the D&I charter for overall SAP in India in addition to her role as HRBP.
