Sangeeta Singh, Partner - Human Resources, KPMG

KPMG India is deeply committed to building a culture of performance. Total Rewards is in sync with performance development and utilizes cash and non-cash incentives as tools to reinforce desired employee behaviors. Learning & development programs, exposure to global opportunities and internal mobility between functions, helps address skill enhancement and career development needs of employees.

Other unique policies, like part-time working arrangements, paternity leave, sabbatical, shared leaves, compensatory offs, emergency medical leave, adoption leave, compassionate leave, “Buddy for Mothers to be”, etc., provide support and allows employees to address the equation of work-life balance.

KPMG India also organizes off-sites and events such as KPMG Kalakar (Antakshari competition), Secretary’s Day, which is a photography contest, Grand Parents’ Day and Parents’ Day that gives employees an opportunity to come together informally for fun at work and showcase their unique workplace to their families.

KPMG India coordinates a Shared Leave Program for employees who need time off for a family medical emergency, their wedding, or additional maternity leave, and those who have exhausted their annual leave entitlement. The additional leave days are funded on an as-needed basis, by donations of up to five working days from partners and employees, who become aware of a co-worker's need. Time-off under the program will be limited to a maximum of 20 working days in a rolling 12 month period. In order to address situations where an employee is confronted with a severe personal medical emergency, they are provided with additional time-off under the Emergency Medical Leave policy.
