I read about how technology & processes can be replicated but a sustainable advantage can be created by culture. This made me curious & I took a deep dive in HR.

Points of differentiation

I am a problem solver. Give me a good problem and I like to look at what is the trigger, what are the possible solutions, pros & cons, therefore, what the suggestion is. I also enjoy seeing value being generated; therefore, I also take the solution into implementation and then gain energy from seeing the impact. I am a person who has been in multiple situations in the past given such responsibilities and enjoys understanding key challenges in business, where people solutions can fit and then drive the results.

Biggest Talent Priority to solve

How do we strike a right balance between use of analysis & data and the inputs of behavioral economics for some key ELC stages? Identify the variables which make the context change from org. to org and, therefore, make a model which could help provide future looking, proactive people centric decision making for the organization.

The one thing I will retain in HR

The thing I would like to retain in HR is the EQ where we can be a sounding board, counsel & guide to the leaders & employees, thereby, facilitating decision making.

The one thing I will change in HR

The thing I would like to change in HR is being cooped in their own HR world while trying to support business. Ingraining oneself in the realities of the business and then designing programs contextualized is the need since cultures are very org specific and every culture has its different needs. I see a lot of CoEs (who end up doing the designing work) not having the business context and thus dipping the potential value add.

Vision for HR's future growth

Get HR to be a core business function. Marketing which was once thought of as a separate advisory body is now a part of business and I imagine the same transition for HR as well. I am fortunate enough to have witnessed the same in my careers as well.
