When employees put in hard work, they want to be rewarded. Unfortunately, annual appraisals alone cannot guarantee that employees will be aptly rewarded – things like pay increase or bonus are much coveted however, employees are looking beyond this and craving for meaningful recognition. They want opportunities to learn and grow and want to feel valued by the organizations. To keep employees happy, organizations must ensure their rewards are unique and resonate with the employee. Organizations need to be creative to surprise, delight and show employees that they appreciate their achievements constantly and consistently.
