As the workforce becomes more multigenerational with the entry of millennials and GenZers, the 2019 Top Companies list released by LinkedIn shows that those organizations with informal work cultures, fair working conditions and fair wages are the ones who are topping the charts.

Internet-based companies have taken up the top ten spots wherein Flipkart has shot up to become the #1 pushing out Amazon to take second place. Homegrown companies such as Swiggy (#6), Zomato (#8) and Freshworks have also featured in this list, this year. Uber also happens to be a new entry and grabs the #5 spot.

In a surprise jump, OYO has moved from #10 to #3, Reliance Industries moves from #24 to #10 and consulting firms such as Boston Consulting Group has entered the list at #13.

“Interestingly this year, half the companies are new entrants on the list, including IT giants such as Tata Consultancy Services and IBM that showcase the changing job and hiring landscape,” said Adith Charlie, India Managing Editor, LinkedIn, in a press statement. “The presence of more blue chip companies such as Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Industries, among others emphasizes the fact that these large firms are getting better at attracting Millennial employees.”
