The advancement in technology and introduction of disruptive technologies- Digital, IoT, AI, cloud and automation, etc. are impacting businesses both internally and externally. While innovations and advancements are changing the way, organizations functions internally; the external rapid changes in consumer preferences are forcing businesses to go back to their drawing board to re-design their strategies.

In 2016, People Matters-BITS Pilani had conducted the L&D Trends Study to understand the most significant learning practices organizations were planning in the coming year. In continuation of last year’s study on L&D trends, People Matters and BITS Pilani present their annual L&D Trends survey that examines the top areas of skill gaps that need to be bridged in the next 12-18 months. The study analyze the priorities, drivers and strategic role of the L&D function, and also identifies the top new-age skills required by the workforce in today’s digitally disruptive world. The survey saw the participation of L&D professionals from 207 companies across industries and sectors.
