Ex Indigo President Aditya Ghosh who left Indigo Airlines and started his journey with Tata Trusts as Senior Advisor has started a new journey with OYO Hotels & Homes. 

The senior industry veteran has joined OYO Hotels &Homes as CEO, South Asia. Announcing his association, he tweeted, “Delighted to share that I have signed up as the CEO for OYO Rooms, South Asia and partner with Ritesh Agarwal in its global expansion.  Awesome opportunity to deliver high-quality accommodation in the best of locations at affordable prices in the best of locations across the world!.” 

In a media statement, OYO said that this appointment comes as a part of the company’s efforts to continue to invest in and attract world-class leadership, in the wake of its focus to drive accelerated growth in its home markets - India and China. 

Aditya is a proven professional with over 21 years of experience and is entrusted with the responsibility to oversee and grow OYO Hotels business in South Asia, which will include, India, Nepal, and the other upcoming markets in the region.

He will focus on continuing to drive growth while delivering high-quality customer experience and sustained yields for asset owners. He will be a thought partner to every OYOpreneur, by enabling a work culture that rewards performance and celebrates diversity and inclusion, a key focus area for the company. His appointment is critical in the company’s journey into becoming not just the largest but also the most preferred chain of hotels, homes and living spaces in India and around the world. He will be reporting to Ritesh Agarwal, Founder & Group CEO, OYO Hotels & Homes.

Sharing more about the appointment,  Dinesh Ramamurthi, CHRO, OYO Hotels &Homes said, "Ritesh as the Group CEO will focus on partnering with him on India, and the local leadership team in China, to drive growth in these two home markets while furthering the global growth and impact of the company

Prior to this, he was working with Tata Trusts as Senior Advisor. He was looking after the Cancer Care Initiative at Tata Trusts. 

He was associated with Indigo till July 31st, 2018. Ghosh is known for his skills and being a people’s boss. In an interaction with a business magazine last year he mentioned that he knows most of his people by their names and even in the worst scenarios when the industry was facing salary delays, Indigo never reduced their staff and not delayed their salary even by an hour.

Under his leadership, Indigo was credited as Aon’s best employer for the year 2016 and 2017.
