CHRO of Godrej Properties Ruhie Pande moves to a new role

As Godrej comes up with a new Housing Finance division, Ruhie Pande, CHRO, Godrej Properties Limited steps down from her current role and joins the newly formed Godrej Housing Finance as its CHRO. 

Pande shared about her recent appointment in a LinkedIn update. 

She wrote, “Having spent an amazing, transformational and high adrenaline ride of 2.5 years with Godrej Properties Limited I am now steering course and moving to the Godrej Group greenfield venture into the financial services sector.”

In Godrej Housing Finance Pande will get the opportunity to not only lead the HR function but also be a founding member of the company as it is currently in its initial stage. 

Regarding the new opportunity, Pande wrote, “ I am very excited about setting up this business from scratch and thrilled to be joining an environment which will be so dynamic and in its truest sense will be in the start-up phase.”

Pande became associated with the Godrej Group in 2016, after she left Kaya Clinic in November. In Kaya, she was working as the Vice President and Head - HR & Training. 

An HR professional with more than 20 years of experience, Pande has worked with many companies including ITC Limited, NIIT, and Reliance Brands. 

In her LinkedIn post she shares that this be the 5th unique industry in her career portfolio. As Pande starts a new journey in a new industry there shall be new challenges ahead for her. But she remains excited about the new role. 

“I look forward to, as I have done in my career till date, is finding the curiosity and drive to learn more, take risks and experiment,” says Pande. 

Headquartered in Mumbai, Godrej Group is an Indian conglomerate with subsidiaries such as Godrej Consumer Products, Godrej Agrovet, and Godrej Properties, as well as the private holding company Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd. Now as Ruhi Pande’s LinkedIn update suggests the conglomerate founded in 1897 is also entering the financing sector. While Pande is the first employee to join the new business, there shall soon be more appointments. Let’s see how she builds the team for Godrej Housing Finance and helps Godrej Group achieve its vision for the new business with an efficient talent strategy.
