The board of directors at Future Retail has re-appointed Kishore Biyani as its Managing Director and Rakesh Biyani as its joint managing director for the next three years from May 2nd, 2019. 

“The Board of Directors of Future Retail Limited ("FRL" / "the Company") at its meeting held on 25th March 2019 inter-alia considered and approved the re-appointment of Kishore Biyani as a Managing Director of the Company; and Rakesh Biyani as a Jt. Managing Director of the Company, both respectively for a further term of 3 (three) years from 2nd May 2019 subject to the approval of Shareholders of the Company at the ensuing General Meeting”, said the company in a BSE filing. 

Kishore Biyani is founder and CEO of Future Group. He has led the Group's foray into organized retail with the opening of the stores of one of the leading fashion brands of India, Big Bazaar, Central, Home Town, foodhall and many other formats in fashion and accessories, and consumption of fast moving goods. He has over 38 years of experience in the field of retail manufacturing and marketing.

Rakesh Biyani has been associated with Future Group for over 23 years and is actively involved in the growth of various businesses of the Group. He leads the management in the expansion of Group's flagship formats, i.e. Big Bazaar, Central and fbb.
