Larsen & Toubro Infotech appoints former Cognizant executive Nachiket Deshpande as COO

Technology services company Larsen & Toubro Infotech (LTI) has appointed Nachiket Deshpande as its chief operating officer.

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Sanjay Jalona stated,“Nachiket joins us at an exciting phase of LTI's transformation as customers entrust us with solving their unique challenges. He brings extensive experience and diverse capabilities to continue our growth leadership. On behalf of the entire organization, I welcome him to LTI and wish him unprecedented success with scaling operations, globally.”

Prior to this, Deshpande was the Senior Vice President and global delivery head for the banking and financial services unit at Cognizant Technology Solutions. He was responsible for global delivery and profit and loss across all services lines, products, and platforms, as well as driving large-scale skills transformation.

On his appointment, Deshpande said, “LTI is at the forefront of building the next generation IT Services company, and I am excited to be part of this outstanding team. We will be bolstering the industry expertise and deep technology capabilities that have made LTI the growth leader in the sector.”

An alumnus from the College of Engineering, Pune, Deshpande has a rich work experience spanning 23 years, of which 19 were spent at Cognizant. He has worked across all services lines, products, and platforms in the industry as well as in driving large-scale skills transformation. Prior to Cognizant, he worked with Tech Mahindra for three years. With his formidable experience, Deshpande is expected to play a key role in the company's transformation.
