Reliance Globalcom, a unit of Reliance Communications (RCom) today appointed William (Bill) Barney as CEO of its three offshore businesses, comprising Flag Telecom, Yipes and Vanco. Barney, who's appointment is effective immediately, will operate out of Hong Kong and Mumbai, the company said in a statement. Prior to joining Reliance Globalcom, Barney had served as CEO of Pacnet for 10 years and also Asia Pacific President and CEO of MCI Worldcom (Verizon).
