The board of the Indian Staffing Federation, the apex body of the flexi staffing industry with over 52 members announced the re-appointment of Rituparna Chakraborty as its President for the next two years. Raja Sekhar Reddy is elected as the Vice-President.
ISF’s latest report on the flexi staffing industry pegs the number of flexi staff to move up from 2.1 million in 2015 to 2.9 million by the year 2018, while the rate of growth year on year is set to accelerate from 10.3 percent (2013-15) to 12.3 percent (2015-18).
Commenting on the appointment, Ms. Chakraborty said “Over the past decade we have provided a stepping stone, to over 5 million youth, towards a better and brighter career. We have successfully created an eco-system which provides exibility, administrative efciencies and awless compliance for Corporate India to enable them to expand and grow their business. It is my humble privilege to be re-elected to this position and believe my familiarity in the staffing industry will be of immense value to take the understanding about flexi staffing industry to even higher stratum.”
Mr. Raja Sekhar Reddy, appointed as the Vice – President, ISF said, “As the flexi staffing industry is growing in recognition into the Indian staffing industry, we look forward to work further to increase the affirmative positioning of the flexi staffing concept amongst the mass and look forward for strong partnership with government to support the budding industry. With industry experiencing larger acceptance, we foresee to enlarge our role in the coming future and engage more closely with all the stakeholders; Government, Jobs seekers, Corporates and staffing firms.”
Eight other board members who have also been elected include: A G Rao, Group MD, Manpower Group India; Asim Handa, CEO, Gi Group India; Farhan Azmi, CMD, Futurz Staffing Solutions; Mehul Shah, MD, Collabera; Moorthy Uppaluri, CEO, Randstad India; Narayan Bhargava, Chairman, NSB Group; R P Yadav, CMD, Genius Consultants; and Thammaiah BN, Country Director, Kelly Services India.
