Flipkart has appointed Vivek Mehrotra as the Dean of Flipkart University. He was in his previous capacity was the Director HR & Head Academy for Supply Chain at Flipkart. He has worked in Reliance Retail Ltd, Reliance Communications, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Cadila Pharmaceuticals, as well as Lupin Laboratories. 

According to his LinkedIn profile, he is engaged in creating HR systems and processes for talent management, learning and development, career progression, succession planning, competency based leadership development, mass hiring, and employee engagement,

At Reliance Retail, he was instrumental in setting up 'Reliance Retail Academy', designing and delivering training to thousands of blue and white collar employees. He also used to deliver training to leadership team of Reliance Communications, Business Development for NIS corporate training division, managing in-house training departments of Torrent and Cadila Pharmaceuticals and Sales Operations at Lupin Laboratories. 

He had also delivered guest lecture during the Malaysian HR Congress held at Kuala Lampur, and various training programs across India and South – East Asia. He has authored books on variety of topics such as, motivation, customers services, communications, pharmaceutical selling and pharmaceutical sales management.
