One of the leading provider of HR solutions, Adecco Group, has selected 50 talented young people from all over the world to take on the role of ‘CEO for One Month’ in their country. The India selected candidate – Bani Sodhi will spend a month under the mentorship of India Country Manager & MD Angelo Lo Vecchio and fellow members of the executive team.

As ‘CEO for One Month’, Ms. Sodhi will receive a paid and career boosting internship. She, a student of Delhi University, Miranda House - B.A (Hons) Political Science and Government, was one of 3000+ applicants for the ‘CEO for one month’ program in India. All the program applicants had undergone a series of tests and challenges to reach the final round of selection.

“I am delighted that Ms. Bani Sodhi will be joining us to participate in the internship program as the CEO for One Month”, said Angelo Lo Vecchio, Country Manager & MD, Adecco Group India. “Through our Way to Work™ initiative, we are able to give yet another young person a unique insight into the workings of our organization, as well as the skills required to succeed in business today. Talent development is crucial to prepare the next generation of business leaders for their careers. This program will groom and train these talented individuals, to build on the skills that today’s employers’ demand.”

Adecco Group’s ‘CEO for One Month’ initiative is part of its global Way to Work™ programme, which seeks to tackle the persistent problem of youth unemployment. The ‘CEO for One Month’ will learn on the job, being exposed to business cases, client meetings and business reviews to develop their hard and soft skills and thereby help boost their employability.

“I feel thrilled to have been awarded the opportunity to become CEO for One Month at Adecco Group India. I am looking forward to learning as much as I possibly can from the senior management in the next one month. The valuable hands-on experience that I will gain from this challenging internship will add immense value to my career prospects and more importantly, to my personality. This will also be a journey in soft skills. Programs such as these have a dual benefit. Young professionals like me will be better equipped to crack the workplace, while employers will have a better pool of qualified freshers to hire from.” said Bani Sodhi, CEO for one Month selected candidate, Adecco Group India.

‘CEO for One Month’ was launched in Norway in 2011. In 2014, it became a global initiative offering one ‘Global CEO for One Month’ position alongside Adecco Group’s global CEO.

One deserving candidate will be selected from this year’s local finalists to become ‘Global CEO for One Month’ and run a Fortune 500 company working alongside Alain Dehaze, Global CEO, Adecco Group.
