Sangita Singh, Executive Vice President, Healthcare and Life Sciences, Infosys has moved out from the company, less than two years after joining the firm. 

Sangita joined Infosys, Healthcare and Life Sciences in 2016 and since then had been heading the $750 Mn business. With her role at Infosys she was regarded as one of the seniors most women running a business in the Indian IT Industry. Back in 2016 when Sangita quit Wipro and joined Infosys she joined the ranks of highest-paid executives in the country. In fact, it was reported that she was the highest paid female executive in the IT industry. 

In Wipro, Sangita was the Chief Executive of the Healthcare and Life Sciences Business Unit and was responsible for growing the business to $930 Mn. Before heading the Healthcare business, she headed Enterprise Application Services for about five years and grew its business five times to a revenue run rate of $780 Mn. She had spent almost 23 years of her professional life in Wipro and was also responsible for establishing Wirpo’s brand as the Chief Marketing Officer from 2001 to 2005. 

An alumnus of National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, Sangita has a strong focus on learning, innovation and partnerships. Considering her more than two-decade experience in Wipro, the stint at Infosys was rather short. 

Sangita’s departure is another addition to the long list of executive exits from one of the largest IT firm, Infosys. 

Recently, Nitesh Banga, senior VP and global head of manufacturing and Edge products, also quit Infosys to become the COO of GlobalLogic reporting to its CEO Shashank Samant. Other exits included those of technology head Navin Budhiraja, head of design Sanjay Rajagopalan, Ritika Suri, executive vice president handling large deals, Abdul Razack, senior vice-president and head – platforms, big data and analytics, and Pervinder Johar.
