Uma Talreja, the Chief Digital Officer of retail brand Raymond, has joined Shoppers Stop as Chief Marketing Officer. This is the second stint of Uma Talreja with Shoppers Stop, in an earlier stint with the company she worked for five years as Deputy General Manager, Marketing and Communications. 

Confirming the news to People Matters, BVM Rao, Head HR, Shoppers Stop said, “Uma Talreja has joined Shoppers Stop Limited as the Customer Care Associate, Chief of Marketing & Customer Officer. She will be responsible for evolving customer-centric strategies and create seamless shopping and service experience across the customer lifecycle. She will oversee and lead the marketing strategy, brand development, communications. Her focus will be to leverage consumer insights and data analytics to create initiatives that help meet the changing needs of our customers.”

She is an experienced strategy professional with a demonstrated history of working in the retail and fashion industry. She has worked with organizations like Raymond, Burger King, Tata Trent, Aditya Birla at senior positions. She has a Master's degree in Management Studies from the University of Mumbai.
