After quitting Saint – Gobain as VP, Human Resources, Rahul Pinjarkar, has joined Tata’s retail arm Trent Hypermarket as Director HR. He will report to the Managing Director. 

In his new role, Pinjarkar will be the head of Human Resources, employee relations including CSR and Administration.

Talking to People Matters on his joining, he said, “For me, joining a company which is a part of TATA and TESCO, is like an inspirational dream coming true. It is simply an honour providing leadership to the HR function of a thoroughbred professionally managed company that is known for building trust amongst its employees, customers, and shareholders.”

Pinjarkar joined Saint-Gobain in July 2012 as Vice President, Human Resources.  With over 19 years of experience in different industries, he has gained the ability to align HR strategies in his work profile. 

In his LinkedIn profile, Pinjarkar mentioned that his strength lies in building employee engagement strategies, creating a compelling employer brand, providing HR leadership to business and building high performing teams. 

He also wrote than from employee relations standpoint he is skilled in signing long-term settlements and initiating cost containment strategies resulting in significant savings in operating costs. 

Pinjarkar has spent a significant part of his career in Philips, Novartis and Saint-Gobain Group. From last ten years, he has been in Country HR Head's role providing leadership to the HR Function that includes facilitating high-performance culture, improving HR functional delivery, building the talent pipeline and managing the change process.
