After leading the finance agenda for Voltas for more than a year, Abhijit Gajendragadkar has put down his papers and decided to move out of the company.
Gajendragadkar became CFO in March 2018 after he had been Executive Vice President of Finance at Voltas Ltd. since December 3, 2016.
Now after working for the company for almost 4 years, he has decided to move on. Voltas announced his resignation in a regulatory filing.
"Abhijit Gajendragadkar, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and KMP of the company has decided to pursue interests outside Voltas and would be relieved from his duties on 30th June, 2019," mentioned the filing.
As Gajendragadkar seizes to be the CFO from June, Deputy Managing Director Anil George shall be taking over the charge.
George has been CFO at Voltas before as well.
George was appointed as the CFO of the company in May 2011 and then later he was promoted as President (Corporate Affairs) and CFO in August 2013. Then in September 2017, he was appointed as Executive Director and as Deputy Managing Director with effect from February 10, 2018.
Now, George has been re-designated as CFO, in addition to the other responsibilities he already has.
How George manages these roles and leads the business of Voltas towards greater heights will be something to look forward to.
