Daman Soni, who was heading marketing and growth at digital payments entity Mobikwik has quit the company. 

As per a media report, Soni’s exit becomes the second major reshuffle in the wallet company after Vineet Singh, who was the chief business officer, also parted ways with the company in April this year. 

Daman is still figuring out new opportunities outside the company. 

Soni had joined Mobikwik in December 2016 as Head of marketing and growth to push growth for the digital payment company. Prior to joining Mobikwik, Daman, an ISB alumnus, had co-founded a startup Planet Gogo and had headed the India business of Japanese chat app Line.

Given his experience at the Line Corporation in India, Soni is said to be looking at fresh opportunities in the mobile technology space. 

Mobikwik has also seen some other top-level exits this year. In April this year, Rukaiya Rangwala, who was heading the payment gateway business also quit. His exit was followed by Vivek Sinha in May. Sinha was heading the retail business.

The Gurgaon-based mobile wallet company competes with deep pdeep-pocketedrs like Paytm and PhonePe.
