The State Bank of India may get its first woman chairman with Arundhati Bhattacharya getting shortlisted for the position. Sources say that Arundhati is a top contender for the position and currently one of the four managing directors of the bank. A senior government official said that she is the first choice of the selection committee. A career banker with 36 years of experience, Bhattacharya has been managing director and CEO of SBI Capital Markets, SBI's investment banking arm.
