Hyundai Director Sales Rakesh Srivastava Resigns After 6 Years

Hyundai Director Sales Rakesh Srivastava Resigns After 6 Years

Rakesh Srivastava, director (sales and marketing) at Hyundai Motor India Ltd, resigned yesterday after being associated with the company for almost six years. 

In a statement, the company stated that Srivastava has decided to pursue other interests outside the organization.

Srivastava had been recently elevated to the position of Director, Sales and Marketing, which was the third promotion in six years of his tenure in the company. He had joined the company in 2012 and steered Hyundai India through one of the most successful periods in the company’s history. In his tenure, Hyundai’s market share grew to 17% from 14% during this period.

Y.K. Koo, managing director, Hyundai Motor India Ltd stated, “Our association with Mr. Srivastava has been mutually enriching. He has immensely contributed through the years, leading the company to stay ahead. We wish him the very best in future endeavors.”

Before Hyundai, Rakesh, who is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), had worked with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd for almost 15 years.
