Kailash Prasad Purohit Managing Director of JMD Ventures, formerly known as JMD Telefilms has resigned from his post. In a stock exchange filing, the company informed about this development. 

Dhruva Narayan Jha will be the new Managing Director of the company effective from April 8th, 2019. 

The company said, “This is to inform you that Mr. Kailash Prasad Purohit Managing Director of the Company has been resigned from the employment of the Company w. e. f. 08/04/2019 Mr. Dhruva Narayan Jha is being appointed as Managing director subject to the approval of shareholders in the upcoming AGM w.e.f 08-04-2019.”

Kailash Purohit is an industry veteran who has worked with JMD Ventures a very long time and he was responsible for initiating new launches at JMD. Under his leadership, the company manifolds growth in the business.

JMD was originally incorporated in the year 1984, as Avtar Finance & management consultants. In 2001, the company diversified from finance to regional entertainment industry and changed the name to JMD. 

The company’s diversified business portfolio spanning across different industries viz a viz entertainment, digital, e-commerce, education, distribution, retail, investment, infrastructure, media, trading & services sectors.
