After working with the organization for seventeen years, Sanjay Modi stepped down as the Managing Director. He was leading Monster in the Asia Pacific (APAC) and the Middle East (ME). March 31st, will be his last working day. 

Sanjay Modi was part of the launch team of Monster business and he was responsible for Monster’s profitable position in APAC and ME area. He also worked closely to handle sales and profit development, developing product and technology strategy, market share development and brand building for the organization. Modi was elevated as Managing Director in April 2009, before this he was head of sales of Monster India. He is an industry veteran with more than twenty-seven years of experience and worked in organizations such as NIIT and India Construction. 

Monster so far

It can be recalled that the job hunting portal was acquired by Amsterdam based human resource and recruitment specialist firm Randstad in August 2016 for $429 million. According to the deal, there were no changes in the operations of Monster and it was operating as an independent entity under the same brand name.

Earlier this year in January, business services provider Quess Corp announced the buyout of Monster India and its business in South East Asia and the Middle East from Monster Worldwide. Monster in APAC & Gulf started its operations with India, in 2001 and has operations across India, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, UAE and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Monster recently appointed Abhijeet Mukherjee as the President of its Internet Business that includes the recently Acquired e-recruitment platform, Monster.com, APAC. As a part of this role, he will be responsible for strategizing and spearheading the overall internet operations of the company.
