Jio Haptik Technologies Limited, a subsidiary of Reliance Jio Platforms, announced Nimesh Mathur as Director of People and Culture at the company. He will join the leadership team of Haptik to run end to end talent acquisition, people development, performance management, and organizational culture.

“We have been looking for a People function leader for a long time,” said Aakrit Vaish, Co-Founder & CEO of Haptik which besides Reliance Jio counts the likes of KFC, Oyo Rooms, Ola Cabs, Hotstar and Starhub amongst it’s marquee clients. "We were clear we wanted someone who understands our business end to end, and how the human resources function should be built around that. With Nimesh, we are lucky to have someone who is a rare combination of empathy, leadership and with a solid SaaS background. I look forward to working with him to take Haptik to the next level of scale.”

With 15 years of cross-functional leadership experience across diverse industries, Mathur was most recently the APAC Head of Customer Success at Branch Metrics, a unicorn start-up in the mobile growth linking & measurement space. Prior to that, he was the Director of CS at 2018 IPOed Pluralsight and led CS at Y-Combinator and JMI Equity backed HackerRank before that.

On his appointment, Nimesh Mathur said, ”In the last few years Haptik has grown from strength to strength in product capability, revenues and people. It’s a fantastic time to be joining the company as it gives me the opportunity to help build and further strengthen the people's development, develop current and bring in fresh talent. It also gives me the opportunity to play a vital role in shaping a culture that will be the key to drive desired business outcome”.

With the kind of experience that he offers, it will be interesting to see how Nimesh leads the company in these trying times in terms of human resource functions and development.
