NYU Stern School of Business is set to integrate human rights in its MBA curriculum and into the way the business school operates by launching the world's first human rights centre at a business school this year. Movements and appointments: United Breweries (Holdings) Ltd, the holding company of Vijay Mallya’s UB Group, said that managing director Harish Bhat has been replaced by V. Shashikanth. Bhat also resigned from UBHL’s board. Diageo Plc has started exercising its powers as the largest shareholder in United Spirits Ltd (USL) by moving as many as 100 UB Group executives off the payrolls of India’s largest distiller. Nishi Vasudeva was selected on Wednesday to head Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd (HPCL), the first woman ever to head a Navranta PSU. Former Wipro co-CEO Girish Paranjpe has emerged the frontrunner to lead technology services company iGate. Troubled mid-sized software firm Sasken Communication names Anjan Lahiri as CEO.

IR: All five unions of Coal India, representing almost its entire work force, have declared a three-day strike from September 23. The CBI has been called in by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to investigate a widespread racket in claims of leave travel concession (LTC) involving central government and public sector employees as well as travel agents. Workers delivering auto parts to Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) factories in the United Kingdom are expected to unveil a walkout plan next week.
