Capgemini taps into India’s senior talent pool

Boosting the senior talent pool is on Capgemini’s mind. As the French IT services giant gears up to build up its expertise in emerging tech across India, the company is looking forward to expanding their talent pool from India.

To that end, Capgemini hired Nisheeth Srivastava as the Chief Technology and Innovation Officer who has himself founded three tech startups and mentored several others, according to media reports.

Talent contribution from India has been a point of focus for the company. Leaders such as Aruna Jayanthi, Srinivas Kandula and other Indian leaders have been promoted to senior job roles that are responsible for global functions. For example, Jayanthi who was the India Operations Head was promoted to Head of Latin America and APAC. At the same time, Kandula will be heading the Global Human Resource Initiatives for the company.

The IT services company plans to hire about 10,000 to 12,000 graduates from campus recruitment in 2019. This initiative is a part of a larger plan to hire add about 25,000 employees in India across the board which also includes hires for senior roles as well.
