BankBazaar looking to hire 800 people in FY19

Financial marketplace BankBazaar is looking to hire 800 people across its locations in FY19. The marketplace which recorded 90 Mn visitors in the final quarter of FY18, is expecting to hit 400 Mn visits this year.

The majority of the new hires would be for the technology and product domains. Almost 60% of them operating out of Chennai and a significant number based out of Bengaluru. 

Adhil Shetty, Co-founder and CEO, BankBazaar, stated, “The new hires will be working on extending the paperless, presence-less process pioneered by BankBazaar to newer products from a technology front, and implementing a customer-centric design to simplify the purchase process.”

With this round of hiring, the company aims to bolster its engineering capabilities to deliver a holistic and seamless purchase experience. The startup claims to have posted 20X growth over the last few years. It has raised $ 110 Mn through funding from investors including Amazon,  Experian, Fidelity Growth Partners, Mousse Partners, Sequoia Capital and Walden International.

Last December, BankBazaar.com had also announced plans to appoint as many as 300 more new employees in its second round of hiring after the first round of hiring announced in March 2017.

Apart from India, BankBazaar.com also has an office in Singapore and Malaysia.
