The latest findings of an annual poll of new business school alumni, conducted each September by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), suggest that these two factors played an important role in the case of management graduates who did not find jobs in 2013.

The latest findings of an annual poll of new business school alumni, conducted each September by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), suggest that these two factors played an important role in the case of management graduates who did not find jobs in 2013.

The study covered 129 business schools around the world. According to an Economic Times report, the study shows that a key shortcoming for 2013 Indian management graduates who did not find a job was lack of industry exposure (47%), followed by inability to find a job that pays enough (29%) and over-qualification (29%).

The findings also show that 87% of Indian citizens surveyed are employed, including 83% working for an employer and 4% self-employed, according to Gregg Schoenfeld, director, management education research at GMAC, ET said.
