NRI hiring activity up 5% in Jan-March

According to a recent online survey by job portal, MyHiringClub.com and NriJobPortal.com, hiring of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) professionals rose by 5 per cent in January-March 2012, with the IT and ITeS sectors lapping up the maximum numbers at 23 per cent. Apart from IT&ITeS, the prospects for NRI hiring this year were also promising in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, automobiles and infrastructure sectors.

According to a recent online survey by job portal, MyHiringClub.com and NriJobPortal.com, hiring of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) professionals rose by 5 per cent in January-March 2012, with the IT and ITeS sectors lapping up the maximum numbers at 23 per cent. Apart from IT&ITeS, the prospects for NRI hiring this year were also promising in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, automobiles and infrastructure sectors.

The survey, which covered 946 employers from 11 industry segments in six cities, saw the maximum hiring in Bangalore with NRI professional hiring index at 29 percent followed by Delhi/NCR (27 per cent), Mumbai (26 per cent), Hyderabad (18 per cent), Chennai and Kolkata (16 per cent).
