Social media use for job search paying off: Survey

In survey conducted by global workforce solutions provider Kelly Services, about 56 per cent of the respondents said that they were contacted through social media about a job opportunity in the last year, Financial Express reported. Almost 25 per cent respondents had secured a job through this medium, the report added.

38 per cent of respondents secured a job through social media in Indonesia and Thailand, which occupied first and second place in the survey. These were followed by China and Malaysia in the third and fourth place respectively. India was placed fifth in the list. The findings are part of Kelly Global Workforce Index survey ’Socialising Recruitment’.
