Vedanta appoints its CFO Arun Kumar as a company Director

Vedanta appoints its CFO Arun Kumar as a company Director

A global diversified metals and mining company Vedanta Limited has appointed its Chief Financial Officer Arun Kumar as a Director of the company. Arun, was appointed Chief Financial Officer on 30th September 2016 from his role of Executive Vice President Finance & Deputy CFO.  Arun joined Vedanta in 2013 as CFO for the company’s Aluminium & Power business. He has over 21 years of experience at global companies.

The company has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) that the Board of Directors in their meeting on 22 November 2016 approved of the appointment.

Arun has previously worked with GE in various roles and responsibilities and before joining Vedanta he was the CFO - Asia Pacific, A & L division at the General Electric posted in China where he lead a multi country diversified team reporting to the Global CFO responsible for partnering the Asia teams to deliver ambitious high growth plans for the business in these emerging markets. Led the team to deliver on bottom line & cash on op plan for three years in a row.

The company has also appointed Bhumika Sood as Company Secretary and Key Management Personnel (KMP) with effect from 23 November 2016. Bhumika is currently Deputy Company Secretary and Compliance Officer. She has over 12 years of experience in multi-disciplinary areas of core secretarial, regulatory and compliance function.
