CEO of Indus Towers to head Bharti Infratel merged entity

A new entity will be created after the merger of Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel under the leadership of Bimal Dayal, CEO of Indus Towers.

Bimal Dayal, the current CEO of Indus Towers, will lead the two companies i.e. Bharati Infratel and Indus Towers into the merger and help consolidate and integrate the companies post-merger. 

While Hemant Ruia will become the Chief Financial Officer, Bimal Dayal will lead the new organization created after the merger of Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel. Dayal’s new duties will include combining the business operations and pave the way ahead towards the integration of the two companies in light of the merger, according to a statement by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Plc, released through media reports. 

The merger is likely to result in a global tower company and the process is set to be completed by the of June 2019. A global company strewn across India with about 163,000 towers will be led into the new organization post the alliance of Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel.

Ruia is currently the CFO of Indus Towers and will be appointed CFO of the new entity as well.
