Swiggy's Head, Talent & Culture steps down

Senior HR Industry leader Madhav Vamsi has stepped down from his role at Swiggy. The former Talent and Culture Head of Swiggy is all set to join smart farming start-up Aibono which was founded in 2013. Vamsi shared that he has always been passionate about farming, and he is doing his bit of farming for a few years now, therefore Joining AIbono is not a typical career move for him.

He termed his stint with Swiggy as fantastic learning. He said, "It is fascinating to be associated with Swiggy's growth story. When an organization grows at the pace, we grew and are growing at Swiggy, and a leader is constantly playing the role of a creator, creation is about pushing your own boundaries, as I look back now, working with phenomenal peer leadership group yield in a lot of what I term as collective learning."

"Ai" signifies artificial intelligence and "Bono" meaning good, implying the use of technology for a greater good. The advanced technological inputs provided by Aibono empower the farmers by giving them control over external variables like weather, water & soil inputs.

In his new role as Head of People and Community, he would be building human capital and nurture organization towards that collective faith to rally behind the common purpose.

He said, "My role would give me an opportunity to build a community of farmers and elevate the entire farming and living experiences for our farmers. The real success would enable millions of farmers to better their own lives, that for me sounds truly magical and very next dimensional."

He joined Swiggy in April 2018, and he was responsible for L&D charter alongside evangelizing technology for the overall HR function. He created broader programs and platforms to encourage employee engagement. Prior to joining to Flipkart, he worked with companies such as TCS and Microsoft.
