Tata Power CHRO Jayant Kumar resigns

The company stated the post is being filled by Himal Tewari, the current Vice-President for group HR at Tata Sons.
Tata Power CHRO Jayant Kumar resigns

Tata Power Ltd’s Chief Human Resources Officer Jayant Kumar called it quits, citing personal reasons. Confirming the development to ET, the company said the post is being filled by Himal Tewari, the current Vice-President for group HR at Tata Sons. 

Kumar, who is serving his notice period, stated, "I have been working at Tata Powers for six years and it was time to move on. I am currently serving notice period.” 

Tewari has been working with Tata Sons as Vice-President, HR since 2014. Prior to this, he was  working with Russell Reynolds Associates as executive director. His earlier stints were at August International, Ernst & Young, and Tata Motors.

Tata Power is part of the Tata Group, with its core business focused on generating, transmitting and distributing electricity. Kumar’s exit follows another high-level exit last year. Last January, its then Chief Executive Officer, Anil Sardana, on account of personal reasons. He was replaced by  Praveer Sinha, who joined last May.
