Girish Sahni, a former director of CSIR-Institute of Microbial Technology in Chandigarh, has taken over as the new director general of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. He will also be the secretary of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), the science and technology ministry said on Wednesday.
