Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad have been ranked as the top destinations that are appealing to talent across the country, according to the LinkedIn India Workforce Report. Many young job seekers are looking to migrate to these cities in search of work and better job opportunities.

Mumbai and Chennai rank fourth and fifth as the top destinations for talent to migrate to in India. The next five cities chosen by most of the talent on LinkedIn in India are: Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Vadodara, and Jaipur.

Job profiles such as software engineers, system engineers and business analysts are filled up the most followed by the manufacturing, finance and corporate services sectors. Job roles in the education sector such as professors, business development associates and research assistants also emerged as the positions being filled up the most.

Across various sectors, software engineers are in demand. The high demand for software engineers has been observed by LinkedIn in 2018. These skills are required not only in the traditional IT firms but also in wellness and fitness industry, web and mobile application related companies, data analytics firms and even online pharmaceutical giants.

Apart from software engineers, business management specialists have been in demand. The job roles could range from business analyst to business development managerial positions. These specialists are being absorbed into companies related to consumer goods, media, recreation, logistics, healthcare and even travel.

Also, data analysis related jobs have also been in high demand. The position of a data analyst has also seen a rise especially in legal and healthcare industries.
