To strengthen its leadership team and have diverse experience in the top management, four key executives from American retail company, Walmart is joining Flipkart. 

English daily Economic Times reported that the current head of Walmart’s M&A Emily McNeal would be appointed as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the group, an email from Flipkart’s CEO Binny Bansal shared this information over an email to the employees. 

 

Flipkart will also get a new Vice President and Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer. Daniel De La Garza will join from Walmart in the top management for this role. 

The other senior members are Grant Coad and Dawn Ptak who will join as General Counsel and Group Controller respectively for the Indian e-commerce giant. These four leaders are likely to join the company by next month, and Daniel De La Garza will report to the Group CEO Binny Bansal. 

Currently, Daniel Garza is working with Walmart in Central America as Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer. He joined the U.S retailer in July 2013 as VP & Chief Compliance Officer, Latin America, where he was leading Walmart’s global compliance program in Latin America. 

He is a senior industry veteran with more than twenty-six years of experience and worked with companies such as STG Corporation, Schlumberger and Entrepreneurs’ Organization. 

In the email, Bansal wrote that the expertise of these leaders would be valuable and it will give a significant boost to the efforts to take the company to the next level.
