Google Cloud India appoints new VP, Engineering

Google has roped in Anil Bhansali as the new Vice President of Engineering for its Cloud division Google Cloud. 

Bhansali has joined Google Cloud after working with Microsoft for 28 years. He last served as the Corporate Vice President of Azure cloud division and site leader for R&D team in India. 

In this role, Bhansali will coordinate all software development efforts for the search giant's cloud business in India. Announcing the appointment, Google Cloud India tweeted, “We are excited to welcome @bhansalianil, as the new Vice President of Engineering of @GoogleCloud_IN. He will drive software development support efforts for #India to deliver solutions for customers faster and with greater impact.” 

Commenting on Bhansali’s appointment, Amit Zavery, Vice President, Engineering, Google LLC said, “Product innovation that enables digital transformation sits right at the core of Google Cloud’s mission. We’re very excited that Anil Bhansali has joined Google Cloud to help grow and scale our software development support efforts in India so we can continue expanding and advancing Google Cloud services that are used by customers in more than 150 countries worldwide.”
