Bangalore hires maximum NRI executives

According to a recent online survey by job portal, MyHiringClub.com and NriJobPortal.com, hiring of Non-Resident Indian (NRI) professionals rose by 5 percent in January-March 2012, with the IT and ITeS sectors lapping up the maximum numbers at 23 percent. Apart from IT and ITeS, the prospects for NRI hiring this year were also promising in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, automobiles and infrastructure sectors. The hiring of NRI professionals is indicative of organizations global expansion plans and the need to understand global market as well as practices.

Among Indian cities, Bangalore saw the maximum hiring of NRI professionals. In the Jan-March 2012 quarter NRI professionals accounted for 29 percent of the total number of lateral hires in Bangalore. This is followed by Delhi/NCR (27 percent), Mumbai (26 percent), Hyderabad (18 percent), Chennai and Kolkata (16 percent).
