Yahoo! pays Marissa Mayer $6 million for first year

According to a CNN Money report Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer received a pay package of nearly $6 million for her first year in office. According to this report Mayer took home a cash bonus of $ 1.1 million and got $4.3 million in stock. This is in addition to her salary which is around half a million dollars. Mayer took charge as Yahoo’s CEO in July 2012 and since then she has been in news for making amends in the company’s employee related policies to improve productivity and attract talent. Mayer replaced interim chief Ross Levinsohn who received $13 million from Yahoo last year.
