Does it pay to be in Mumbai? Not really, says UBS study

Mumbai is no longer India’s dream city, at least when it comes to level of wages. According to a study conducted by the Banking Group UBS for 73 major cities across the globe, denizens of Mumbai are among the lowest paid while Geneva and Switzerland lead the list of highest payers. The study also found widespread divergence in wages among cities in different parts of the world. While Mumbai featured in the category of lowest paid cities, it, along with Delhi, Kuala Lumpur and Manila were among the cheapest places to live among the surveyed cities. Switzerland and Geneva on the other hand emerged as the costliest cities to live.
