TCS to hire 50,000 in this financial year

In view of a good momentum, software major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to hire 50,000 people in FY 13. Given that there is excellent growth in North American and UK markets, the company will continue hiring in the overseas markets too. As a matter of fact the company had successfully undertaken the largest ever hiring effort in its history by adding and integrating 70,400 professionals during 2011-12. With business demand continuing to be robust, the software major has made 43,600 offers on campuses for trainees to join them from the second quarter of this fiscal year. The effort of the company is to increase retention by engaging with our employees and offering them a progressive career path. The attrition rate has fallen further to 12.2 per cent.

While Infosys has announced a freeze on wage hike, TCS employees will get hike of 8 percent on an average depending on their grades.
