Microsoft India HR head Rohit Thakur to join Accenture

Microsoft’s human resources head India Rohit Thakur has quit the company after a stint of four-and-a half years. If sources are to be believed, he will join Accenture (India) as the head of human resources.

In an email response to ET, Microsoft said

'As Thakur moves on, we wish him the very best for his future endeavors and thank him for his contribution to Microsoft”.

Before joining Microsoft, Thakur worked at GE for about 11 years where he was assigned multiple roles to play. Prior to GE, he was a part of Cadence Design Systems, Bausch & Lomb Eye Care India and Eicher Goodearth Limited.

Thakur is said to be joining Accenture in the first week of February.

He was an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur and Shri Ram College of Commerce.
