Tech startup Plane raises $4 million in seed funding round

Plane, an open-source project management platform, has secured $4 million in seed round funding from OSS Capital, a venture capital firm specializing in early-stage investments in commercial open-source software.

This investment will fuel the company’s community growth and compete in the coveted enterprise segment.

“We are thrilled to announce the closing of our funding round,” said Vamsi Kurama, Co-founder and CEO of Plane. “This funding validates our vision of creating a user-friendly, extensible, and affordable project management product.”

In addition to seed funding, Plane also announced to launch Plane One, an open-source pricing plan for self-managed instance owners at growing companies. Plane was founded by Vamsi and Vihar Kurama in November 2022.
