Companies rely on brand while hiring

A recent survey by the British Council reveals that 51% of companies hire only from the top 20 Indian institutions and from among them less than a quarter hire only from the top 10. These results were based on a survey among 200 HR personnel and staffing directors in companies. Hiring students graduating from foreign universities is also a growing trend among Indian companies with the survey showing that 41% of the companies surveyed have hired atleast one foreign university graduate in the last two years.
